Terms and Conditions

1. Services

Dog Bytes Computers ("we", "us", "our") provides computer repair, networking, consulting, remote assistance, data recovery, and related information technology services ("Services"). All Services are performed on a best-effort basis. Time estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated in writing.

2. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for backing up all data before service. We are not liable for any loss of data, software, or configurations. You agree to provide accurate information regarding system issues and to ensure we have necessary administrative access.

3. Remote Access

By requesting remote support you grant us permission to remotely access and control your device via approved remote tools (e.g., AnyDesk). You agree to close confidential documents before a remote session and remain present unless otherwise agreed.

4. Data Recovery

Data recovery is not guaranteed. You acknowledge that media may be already damaged and recovery attempts can result in further data loss. We do not guarantee integrity or completeness of recovered data.

5. Payment & Fees

Unless a written service agreement specifies otherwise, payment is due upon completion of Services. Hardware parts or third-party licensing costs are billed separately. Late payments may incur a reasonable administrative fee.

6. Limited Warranty

We warrant labor for a period of 30 days for the specific issue originally serviced. This warranty does not cover new or different issues, misuse, malware reinfection, physical damage, liquid damage, or previously undisclosed conditions.

7. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability for any claim related to Services shall not exceed the amount actually paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages including lost profits or business interruption.

8. Security & Software

Installation of security or antivirus software reduces but does not eliminate risk. You remain responsible for safe computing practices. We will not install unlicensed or pirated software. Licenses must be properly owned or purchased.

9. Abandoned Equipment

Equipment left unclaimed 30 days after notification of completion may be considered abandoned. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you. Abandoned equipment may be recycled or disposed of at our discretion.

10. Confidentiality

We treat customer data as confidential and only access information necessary to perform Services. We do not sell or share personal information except as required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised date will be posted above. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Acceptance

By engaging our Services you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
